About edifica
The largest hispanic-american construction fair.
Edifica is a meeting point for the construction industry and its entire value chain. Since 1990, this fair has been organized by the Chilean Chamber of Construction as a way to highlight the contribution of this sector.
Each edition aims to provide cutting-edge elements applied in the construction industry, both in Chile and around the world
Ourhistory
1990
The first edition of the Construction Fair, Edifica, bringing together the stakeholders of the industry, is held.
2000
ExpoHormigón joins Edifica thanks to the promotion of the Institute of Cement and Concrete (Instituto del Cemento y del Hormigón or ICH).
2007
A thematic hall dedicated specifically to infrastructure and construction machinery is incorporated.
2008
Due to the large number of exhibitors and scope, it is decided that Edifica will be held on a biennial basis.
2010
Edifica takes place within the framework of the XXVII Inter-American Congress of the Construction Industry.
2011
The painful experience of the earthquake on February 27th, 2010, motivates Edifica 2011 to focus on reconstruction plans.
2013
An agreement is signed with the Association of Equipment Manufactures, AEM, adding Conexpo to the fairs in 2015 and 2017.
2015
The International Construction Fair (Feria Internacional de la Construcción or FIIC) is established, incorporating Edifica, ExpoHormigón, and CONEXPO LA.Thematic halls and the International Pavilion are created.That year, the annual FIIC Congress and the Innovation and Construction Congress are held.
2017
Edifica is consolidated as an international fair with 47% of the exhibitions coming from different countries.
2019
The participation of China and Turkey makes this the most significant edition in terms of showcasing solutions.
2022
Due to the pandemic, the event had to be postponed for a year, making EDIFICA the first commercial mass event in Santiago after the lifting of health restrictions.
