The International Construction Fair will be a space for commercial exchange, the introduction of new technologies and the improvement of productivity in the execution and operation of large investment projects.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Carlos Montes, together with the president of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, Antonio Errázuriz, headed the launching of Edifica 2022, the most important construction fair in Latin America, which will be held between October 3 and 6 this year at the new Fisa Park.
In the framework of the launching of the new version of the exhibition, Minister Montes emphasized that it is fundamental that Edifica be a place for the exchange of knowledge, visions and experiences on what it is to modernize technological development. “For us it is very important to industrialize housing and to know what is happening in the rest of the world,” said Minister Carlos Montes. He added “we hope that Edifica 2022 will be a great fair that once again represents a contribution to the country’s challenges and to the strengthening of the construction industry.
On the occasion, the Secretary of State indicated that “we would like to ask that the exhibition also focus on housing for lower-income sectors, for public housing and the middle-income sectors, so that we can make a technological leap in the response that society, and in particular the State, has to give to these needs”.
The president of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, Antonio Errázuriz, emphasized that “Edifica is a space for meeting, dialogue, building trust and creating new opportunities. And it seems to me that this is what not only our industry needs, but our society in general. We can only do this successfully if we encourage collaboration between the public sector, the private sector, civil society organizations and communities.
Meanwhile, the general manager of FISA, Francisco Sotomayor, said that “today, at the official launch of Edifica, we see a great opportunity to boost construction in the country, which will mean an important step forward in the economic and labor reactivation. We hope that this year, the construction industry will be synonymous with opportunities for Chileans and for the construction industry”.
Edifica is organized by the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) and co-organized by FISA of the GL events group.
